Starfield

so wunderbar einfach

Starfield is an installation where a swing is used to create a large interactive starry sky.
With a Kinect installed behind the swing and a video projector, the software creates a galaxy of stars in which the user wanders with the rhythm of his swing.
Created with openFrameworks, the application allows to configure almost any type of swing.
With anaglyph glasses, a 3D mode gives an even more immerse experience.

Face Substitution

Working on an idea with Arturo Castro http://vimeo.com/29279198 I feel like "good" blending looks almost too natural to be surprising. It doesn't leave any interpolation up to your imagination. It's possible to push this style further, so it's less of a blend and more of a replacement, but then you get unnatural colors and shadows.

versus

The first entry in the series, 1964's The Pink Phink, (which was also his first appearance) featured the Panther harassing his foil, a little white moustached man who is actually a caricature of Friz Freleng (this character is officially known as "The Little White Guy" and/or "The Man" [1]), by constantly trying to paint the little man's blue house pink.

Nedko Solakov A Life (Black & White), 1999, black and white paint; 2 workers/painters constantly repainting the walls of the exhibition space in black and white (in rotation) every day for the entire duration of the exhibition.

Installation view in the 16th Biennale of Sydney 2008 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

(c)tm stream

just realized, that a few shows from (c)tm can be seen here:
realeyz
didnt check out this platform yet, but looks quite promising.

i just finished the last concert, which was really nice, as it was northern centric and with live organ-music in passionskirche.
the night before tim hecker was in the same place, but a bit dissapointing, as there was no live organ as i think.

so as not equal (with ben frost and mika vainio) was sold out (which i realized after standing for half an hour in front of the famous barghain-row), the highlight (of the whole festival) was imho tonight hildur:

ctm - night III - mohn

well last night I took a break from berghain and went into hau to the sitting concert of mohn (voigt and burger).
quite oldschool ambient techno, but nice nonetheless, esp. the videos. was a bit surprised to see ebertplatz tough, kind of cologne techno retrospective :)

ctm - night II - mouse on mars

second night was mouse on mars.
very nicely introduced by düsseldorf neo-kraut (one guy on synthie, the other on live-drums), quite nice, bau a bit boring over time maybe:

then there were around 7 people with classical intruments and a straight bassdrum appaering, solistenensemle kaleidoscope, really nice:

well and then mouse on mars startet rocking, ab bit poppy inbetween, but at the end the strobos startet, and ererything was fine. (great classic video btw)

ctm - part I - mark fell

moin together and greetings from freezing cold berlin.

Here a short higlight tour of ctm so far:
first nights highlight was mark fell (from snd) of course, feeling that click and cuts on the 5 meter speakers of berhain was nice :) in the end it even got danceable

sendai was also very nice (as far as i can remember...)

start both videos simultaneously...
